The Educators Convergence (TEC)
The Educators Convergence (TEC) is Africa’s premier annual gathering for teachers, school leaders, and education innovators, designed to ignite inspiration and exchange ideas for the classrooms of tomorrow. When TEC sought to refresh its identity, the challenge was clear: create a modern, optimistic, and unifying brand that visually translates collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional progress. The existing visual expression lacked the energy and authority needed to appeal both to grassroots educators and institutional sponsors.
Our strategic goal was to translate the spirit of learning and convergence into a simple, timeless mark. This resulted in the core concept of “Convergence Through Knowledge.”
This idea was brought to life through a dynamic, three-point logo symbol representing the convergence of people, ideas, and purpose at a central point of enlightenment. The arrow-like form of the mark signifies both forward motion and shared direction, fitting perfectly with the collective mission of shaping the future of African education.
The accompanying visual language was designed to be bright yet professional. We anchored the palette with Radiant Yellow—symbolizing optimism and new beginnings—and paired it with Deep Navy Blue for necessary authority and depth of thought. This combination created an approachable, yet elevated, tone suitable for both educators and high-level sponsors.
The typographic system uses geometric sans-serifs, chosen for clarity and legibility, echoing the balance and structure inherent in good education. Furthermore, the recurring convergence symbol was adapted into a network motif brand pattern, symbolizing the rich interconnection of educators across the region. This cohesive system ensures that TEC is seen not merely as an event, but as a rallying movement of connection, collaboration, and creativity.
The new identity successfully launched the 2024 edition with record participation. The refreshed visual presence transformed TEC into a professional, recognizable, and vibrant symbol for education stakeholders nationwide, powerfully achieving its goal of celebrating both the individual educator and the collective mission to transform learning.
